Anyone who knows me knows that I prefer minimalist all the way. I just think that keeping things simple with a pop of colour says a lot more than clutter. It’s no surprise that the same preferences apply to my planners.
That’s why I love bullet journals. It’s a completely blank canvas to do whatever you want with. Prefer simple layouts too but need a little inspiration? Here are 12 minimalist bullet journal spreads that you will envy!

NEW TO BULLET JOURNALLING?
If you’re new to the exciting (slightly obsessive) world of planning then here are a few basic things you’ll need to get started:
- A journal – The most popular options are Leuchtturm1917 and Moleskine. If you’d prefer to not spend a lot on your first journal then are plenty of gorgeous, reasonably priced bullet journals on Etsy.
- Pens – Bujos are a blank canvas so you need pens to work your magic. My personal favourites are Staedtler Fineliners.
- Highlighters – They go a long way in a bullet journal. If you love pastels like me then Stabilo pastel highlighters are great.
