We all strive to be more productive. Some days though it just ain’t gonna happen. Just because you don’t feel like going to the gym or sorting through those drawers it doesn’t mean that you can’t do anything relatively productive.
Sometimes I find that I’m most productive when I’m sitting on my sofa with the TV in the background. That might be my excuse for being lazy but it’s worked for me so far! I’m actually writing this post from the comfort of my sofa as we speak!
If you’re having one of those days where you just can’t find the energy to get off the sofa then here are a few ideas of what you can do to be productive with your feet up.

PLAN YOUR WEEK
I ALWAYS do my planning from my sofa. There’s nothing I love more than getting everything done, sitting down with my planner and just relaxing. I can plan the week’s meals, update my to-do list and re-work my budget without moving an inch. Can you get anymore productive than that!?

ORDER THE GROCERIES
Sometimes if I’m super busy, I’ll order my groceries online – it also helps me to stop overspending! You can order 24/7 so even if you place your order at 11pm whilst sitting in your pajamas then you’re still ticking one box on that to-do list. Most online grocery shops also save your previous order so that next time it’s even quicker for you to order, kick back and relax.

PIN,PIN,PIN
I am obsessed with Pinterest. I pin at least 50 times a day. It helps to bring traffic to my blog and also inspires future projects. I don’t hide the fact that I’m a HUGE fan of Tailwind. It allows me to schedule my pins in advance so that I can use the best optimized times to pin to my followers. I usually schedule my pins for the following day at night just before bed. It’s so satisfying going to bed knowing that my social media is done and dusted for the following day.
Tailwind is super cheap anyway but you can grab a FREE month of Tailwind by clicking this link and see how it makes Pinterest more productive for you.

STUDY
Back in my uni days, the sofa was my second home to getting my head in the books (after the library of course). If you prefer to write your essays from a desk then you could always bury your head in a study book instead. I used to be a HUGE fan of using my laptop on the sofa to research and write down notes in preparation for an assignment. I still research for my business from the comfort of my sofa now. Habits stick! 🙂

PERSONAL/GIFT SHOPPING
It’s no secret that people are turning to online shopping rather than hitting the shops these days. I cannot think of anything worse than spending my Saturday afternoon in crowded shops and long queues to buy something I can easily order online. No thank you!
If there is a birthday coming up or a social event in a couple of weeks time then I’ll order online. Online shops usually have more stock, more choice, plus you can scope out discount codes to use at checkout. Productive and frugal!

Excellent article that gives us women ‘permission’ to meet our needs for rest while still being productive!
This article made me feel so much better about the time I spend on the sofa. I believe that one can be productive even when they are resting and it’s not always necessary to work on a desk.
