When I started my blog last year, I didn’t realize that you could make money from blogging. Completely NAIVE. It was only when I started to research articles about blogging that I noticed that affiliate sales was mentioned a lot. Since then I’ve signed up to several programs and can depend on a relatively passive income from the products that I promote.
It can be difficult to know where to start if you’re new to affiliate advertising, especially when you have a brand new blog. So I’ve put together a list of the best affiliate programs that are guaranteed to earn you an income each month and accept you as a new blogger.
Disclosure: This post may contain affiliate links. Please check out our disclosure policy for more details.
AWIN
AWIN is my absolute FAVOURITE affiliate programme. It is where the majority of my affiliate income is earned and I can guarentee that each day I’ll make a sale through the programme. You have to pay a very small fee of £5/$5 when joining but this is refunded in your first payment.
Once you’ve signed up and been approved you’ll have access to THOUSANDS of affiliate programs grouped into categories relevant to your niche. One of my favourite publishers on AWIN is Etsy. If you’ve used Etsy before then you’ll know that it’s full of millions of various products that are guaranteed to be a hit with your audience. Most likely the reason why Etsy is my biggest earner via AWIN!

SHAREASALE
Like AWIN, ShareaSale provides a partnership between the publisher and company to allow the publisher access to thousands of affiliate programs. Submitting the application is really simple and you’ll usually find out whether you’ve been approved between just 1-2 days.
I’m a HUGE fan of Tailwind for promoting my content on Pinterest so it made sense that I sign up to their affiliate program via ShareASale to spread the love!
The great thing about ShareASale is that it also offers money for Pay Per Lead (readers who sign up their mailing list) and Pay Per Click (readers who click on your link). Plus it’s FREE to join!
AMAZON ASSOCIATES
Amazon pretty much accepts anyone onto their programme. The only condition is that you have to make a sale within your first 3 months of promoting. Relatively easy as long as you advertise the right products for your audience. Every time someone purchases something through your link you’ll earn a commission of 2%-10% of the sale price. The more items you sell per month, the higher your commission rate.
SKIMLINKS
The great thing about SkimLinks is that as soon as your account is approved, you are automatically approved on to each and every company’s affiliate program on SkimLinks. WINNER! There are some huge names advertising their programme through SkimLinks such as Samsung, Urban Outfitters, PaperChase and Missguided.
SkimLinks is free to join and also has a super handy tools that automatically detects when you are using a website that is part of their affiliate program. It will automatically create a text link to add to your website so that you immediately monetize your site without the hassle of having to join the program first.
SITEGROUND
Siteground is my hosting program that I use for PaperScribblesCo. As well as a brilliant service, they have a brilliant affiliate program too. By brilliant I mean HIGH PAYING! There commission rates range from £30/sale based on 1-5 sales per month up to £65/sale for 11-20 sales per month. Basically the more sales, the higher the commission rates!

CONVERTKIT
Convertkit is another high-paying affiliate program and even better, it’s a recurring commission! As an affiliate, you’ll earn 30% commission from each person you refer, each month. For example, if someone you refer pays $99/per month, you’ll earn a sweet 30$ commission. EVERY MONTH.
If you’re not yet familiar with ConvertKit then find out how I use the email marketing program to grow my blog and email list here.
This is fabulous! Thank you.
